Our collections use the recovery trucks of our sister company, Rapid Recovery Corby. A van that won't start can be winched onto a beavertail transporter, and we can bring dollies and skates if the wheels are locked. Tell us where the van is parked and how much room there is around it.

Some of our trucks carry one vehicle and tow another. If you have an old van and an old car to clear from the same address, or a neighbour has one too, mention it when you get in touch and we will see if both can go in one trip.

Business vans and payment

If the van is owned by a company, the person selling needs authority to sell it, and we still check photo ID and proof of address as the law requires. We pay instantly by bank transfer when we collect, so agree beforehand which account it goes to. We never pay cash for scrap vehicles, which is illegal under the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013.

The paperwork after

Every van goes to a licensed Authorised Treatment Facility, which issues a Certificate of Destruction and tells the DVLA. Any full months of tax are refunded automatically.
